As a companion project to my Blogs around the World post, I think I'll compile a list of U.S. blogs by state (or territory). Again, I seek reasonable sites that at least occasionally post on state and local news. I'll likely start with the sites on my blogroll, but submissions via comment or email are eagerly sought. And, again, it's a work (just) in progress.

He's got some more links to other Fla. blogs you might want to check out too.
Hope that helps.
Ooh, ooh, pick me, pick me!
Actually I missed the "state and local news" part. I don't post on that all that often, but I am in Massachusetts. Probably a couple of my MA blogging friends post more on MA news.
Posted by: Jay Solo at 02:01 AMYaaay! NY here and I'll be posting regularly again once this semester ends....
Posted by: Ravenwolf at 08:16 AMJust started blogging. I do general commentary and news from NE Ohio.
Posted by: luvumisu at 11:03 PMBert:
Thanks for the link. I added the site and one other on his blogroll to the post.
Jay and Ravenwolf:
You're on. Now please occasionally post on state and/or local news. ;)
luvumisu:
I like your site. You're on the list for the next update (probably tomorrow). Thanks for visiting.
Xrlq:
You were already on the list for the next update. And thanks to you, too, for visiting.

Have you seen The World as a Blog?

You can put me down for Austin, Texas. I don't talk about local news so much as life in Austin.

Cheers and this is a REALLY cool idea!

Posted by: Dave at 12:09 PMThis is from Kansas. Though I don't know how much local and state news will be covered, I usually have an opinion to share and I'm sure the news will be there. BTW, great idea. Hope others catch the flow.
Posted by: Wichi Dude at 07:23 PMThank you very much for listing me for the Garden State. I've lived here all my life, and, occasional bitching aside, it's a great place to be.

Posted by: Polis at 04:15 PMI just noticed my old blog is still linked here! Also, I still say this needs its own page that isn't a post within a blog.
Posted by: Jay Solo at 05:13 PMThanks for the good info!!
I see you again next time!!
Greetings from me!!
Being a newby on the computer I did a search in the search engines on a "professional real estate blog" and I found your professional web blog. Let me introduce myself, I am a Halifax Real Estate Agent in Nova Scotia, Canada and I was told that blogs were discussions on specific topics which made me interested in searching specifically for a real estate blog. It seemed like an interesting way to see what trends and technology are happening in the real estate market in other parts of the world besides Halifax. I am considering a blog for myself if I can understand the technology of operating a blog and from what I see I am somewhat hesitant right now even though it was interesting reading.
Respectfully yours
James B. ,

In The Grey is an excellent Ohio blog - good to look at, good to read.
Many thanks for this
I like to discuss political things on the national, state, and local levels here in Louisiana.

Posted by: Katie at 11:51 AMActually, mark me down for Illinois in a month - I'll be going to school there then, so I'm more likely to read their news over Oregon's.
Posted by: Matt Lawton at 12:07 AMI'd sign up, except I HATE the 'word' "blog". It's not the slightest bit euphonious, and it has all the style of those bland orange, yellow, and brown colors that seem to be coming back from the 70s.

I would also recommend Colorado Luis at http://coloradoluis.typepad.com/blog/for his take on news in Colorado.
