Spin

Josh Marshall writes:

FINALLY A CASE President Bush is eager to see investigated. Bush on Berger: "This is a very serious matter that will be fully investigated by the Justice Department."

As we said earlier, desperate.

HERE'S ANOTHER CASE President Bush was eager to see investigated. Bush on Plame:

"If there's a leak out of my administration, I want to know who it is," Bush told reporters at an impromptu news conference during a fund-raising stop in Chicago, Illinois. "If the person has violated law, that person will be taken care of.

"I welcome the investigation. I am absolutely confident the Justice Department will do a good job.

"I want to know the truth," the president continued. "Leaks of classified information are bad things."

He added that he did not know of "anybody in my administration who leaked classified information."

If anything, President Bush sounds more eager to have members of his administration investigated than he does to have Kerry advisor Berger investigated. Is Marshall referring to some other investigation?

Who sounds desperate here?

Blogs around the World News

At the suggestion of Jay Solo and others, I've moved the original Blogs around the World post to a page of its own. CLICK.

I've also cleaned-up many of the old links and added many new ones. In addition, I've added continental maps and national flags (with links to the CIA Factbook pages for each country).

I'm going to remove the country list from the original post, so I hope everyone who has linked to the post will update their links.

Additional, on-topic blogs are always sought. If you know of any that you'd like to recommend, please send them via email or by commenting on the original post.

I hope everyone likes the new page. Comments and suggestions are sought.

A Shared Experience

Here's a transcript of an, um, interesting online chat (on "The Official John Kerry Blog") with Joe "Restore Honesty" Wilson. Amusing excerpt (links added):

Muneaux (Oct 29, 2003 11:44:23 AM) What other qualities possessed by John Kerry make him stand out from the other potential nominees enough for you to support him rather than one of them? I am sure you are aware that the majority of democratic voters are having difficulty discerning their top choice, something that continues to be a big problem for the party.

*** Joe Wilson (Oct 29, 2003 11:44:56 AM)
In addition to his experience in the Senate, which includes lead roles in the Iran-Contra investigation, and the Noriega investigation,

he is the one candidate who like me, has a shared experience of speaking truth to a hostile power

Tiger Hand Beats Paper

This, to me, is very, very amusing.
